Like much of the world, soccer is a very popular professional sport in throughout the Americas as well. It's the number one team sport in much of Latin America, and soccer betting also dominates the interest of sports gamblers from the region. The largest Latin American professional leagues are in Mexico and Argentina. Argentina, in particular, has a very high level of play and has won the FIFA World Cup twice in the past 30 years. South America also has pro soccer, though in soccer rich countries like Brazil there is greater interest on International play. The United States is somewhat behind the rest of the world in terms of pro soccer popularity, but its definitely growing in the US both as a spectator sport and a wagering opportunity.
