Fed Cup Betting
The Fed Cup is the womens' tennis equivalent to the mens' Davis Cup competition. Its the most prestigious international team event in Womens' tennis. It was launched in 1963 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) which is roughly analogous to FIFA in international soccer. The event was known as 'The Federation Cup' until 1995 when its name was officially shortened to 'Fed Cup'. The qualification is done in the same way as the Davis Cup, with countries competing within their region to qualify for elimination rounds. The US and Australia have dominated the Fed Cup, with many of the top womens' players in the world competing for their country and offering tennis bettors a wide variety of wagering opportunities throughout the year.
